The Meadows is a villa community, with homes of three to five bedrooms, typically 2,500 to 4,000 sqft and set in their own gardens. The buildings date from 2004 to 2008, so every property is now over 18 years old. For smart lock work, that means most jobs are retrofits onto original front doors rather than fittings on new ones.

Age is behind most of the faults we see. After years of heat, humidity and daily use, hinges loosen and a heavy door can drop slightly, so the latch no longer meets the strike plate cleanly.
